Monocrystalline Diamond Powder (Grit Size & D50)
Synthetic monocrystalline diamond powder with blocky, high-strength crystals for grinding wheels, saw blades, lapping and polishing of hard materials. Micron powder is graded in-house to tight particle-size distribution so tools cut consistently from batch to batch.

Polycrystalline Diamond Powder (PCD)
Polycrystalline diamond powder (PCD) is synthesised by the explosion method and is made of primary grain aggregation of 4-7nm. Compared with monocrystalline diamond it has higher toughness and better self-sharpening, giving a higher removal rate with fewer scratches and more consistent polishing performance. With high abrasion resistance its grinding force decreases slowly as grinding time increases. Suitable for super-hard materials such as sapphire substrates, optical crystals and super-hard ceramics.

Area of use — PCD 1/8 to PCD 0-2: end surface polishing of optical crystal, ultra-hard ceramic, wafer substrate and metal. PCD 2-4 to PCD 5-12: lapping, rough polishing and back thinning of sapphire and wafer substrate. Customizations are available upon request.
